// A note from the installation

Cyber Utopia is a love letter to a different internet, the one we still have time to build. It only exists because dozens of thinkers, journalists, organisers and engineers have been doing this work long before me. The names below are the shoulders this small installation stands on.

For the visitor who stayed past the question.

The internet you grew up on is not the one we have to keep. Every minute you spent here is a minute the attention economy did not get. Take that with you. Bring the questions to a friend who hasn't asked them yet. Stay loud. Stay literate. Stay human.

Nobody arrives at an installation about digital literacy alone. Some of these people taught me how to ask the question. Some of them stayed up late while I built it. Some of them are no longer here to read this, and the credit is theirs anyway.

Every concept in the forty-two episodes is borrowed from people who have been naming the harm for years. If a phrase in the installation rang true, it almost certainly came from one of these voices first. Go read them, follow them, fund them where you can.

That built the room.

No tracking pixels. No third-party analytics on this page. The site is hand-written HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript; it computes your quiz results in your browser and forgets them when you close the tab. Built with:
